Gamers! Polish! THE WITCHER! Welcome to the Polished Gamers Box August 2020 edition – The Witcher.
I’m honored to be August’s featured blogger and I’m happy you’re all here with me to take a look at all the pretties!!! But first, let’s go over some things for those who are new to the box or forget about the details.
What started as a book series, turned into a HIGHLY successful video game series and now a blockbuster show on Netflix. The Witcher has had a very successful career in today’s entertainment. To the point where when I told friends that I had never played The Witcher: The Wild Hunt, the third game in the series, I think they wanted to unfriend me right then and there.
By the end of the first episode on Netflix I was hooked. After I binged all the episodes I started playing the game. When I was approached to be the featured blogger I was over the moon. Excited to show off all the inspired products. The Polished Gamers Box August 2020 – The Witcher is not a month you’ll want to miss!

Wow! What a way to kick off this month’s Polished Gamers Box. Isn’t this Studded Resin coaster/dish gorgeous?! Inspired by studded leather gear found in The Witcher. It’s already replaced my lesser coaster on my desk.
Studs and leather…who else loves this combination in The Witcher? This lightweight coaster can also be used as a soap dish or trinket dish. It’s important to note that this coaster/dish is not heat or food safe. Please do not use it as a shallow dish to drink goat’s milk from or use to roast rabbit over a fire.

The eucalyptus and mint fragrance will wake you up and make sure you’re ready to create your own Lodge of Sorceresses.
As I was working on the box I’ve had Lodge of Sorceresses on my desk and let me tell you, it smells amazing. If 1422 Designs ever makes a wax melt with the same fragrances I’ll be first in line. Besides the scent, the soap lathers up very nicely, moisturizes and cleans all the dirt away after a day of running around the Northern Realms.

Calm Before the Storm is described as a light misty grey scattered holo base with heavy orange/pink/gold crystal flakies and 2 other color shifting flakies. Because the grey is so light Calm Before the Storm is great as a topper!

Any Witcher fan needs this plate! It has it all – from Geralt, to magic, over to Ciri and plenty in between. The pickup is amazing, capturing all the details. Apipila has really been spoiling us with nerdy stamping plates and I hope it never stops!
For application, I used stamping polishes and an assortment of stampers. I didn’t have any trouble picking up, stamping, or clean up. The plate is 10 x 10 cm.

Of Violet Eyes is inspired by Yennefer’s violet eye color. Although she does not portray her signature color in the video games as she does in the books and TV show, the Tavern song in The Witcher 3 pays homage to “of violet eyes, glistening as you weep”.
Described as a purple color shifting polish. It has a purple base with pigment that shifts from a vibrant purple to a deep violet. This beauty is opaque in 2-3 coats. I personally used 3 coats out of habit. This beautiful shimmery purple captures Yennefer’s eyes perfectly!

In the Witcher world, Dryads are nymphs of the woods. This olive green captures those woods so perfectly!

This month there is a choice between a necklace or an adjustable ring. They both use Bees Knees Lacquer “The Reaper” which is described as, “a white/very pale gray crelly with red to orange multichrome flakes, green to pink shimmer, scattered holo and tiny holo flakes”.
The adjustable ring is set in a 20mm round, black plated, zinc alloy metal setting. It is about 3/4″ in diameter and is lead and nickel free.

Yennefer of Vengerberg is described as a greyed out blue with purple shimmer, bright blue micro flakies and silver holo flakes. It’s important to note that the beautiful silver holo flakes may sometimes not lay flate – the nature of the beast and you may want to use two layers of top coat or one layer of a glitter smoother and then a top coat.

Wow! Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together for us! The makers really REALLY nailed it this month! I am definitely going to have to narrow down my wishlist.. You showed a few that were not even on my radar, but they are now! Lol! Definitely getting the stamping plate, beer soap, moonshine, EDK, p. Lopes and I could probably go on and on but I’ll stop there for now.
